Dukes vs Panthers Final: 42-40 - Recap
The Dukes grabbed a Week 12 victory over the Panthers on Saturday, winning 42-40 at Showker Field at Bridgeforth Stadium.
The Dukes earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -10.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 51.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Percy Agyei-Obese rushed for 89 yards, while Kaelon Black added 35 yards in the win. Terrance Greene Jr. and Kris Thornton added 81 and 68 receiving yards respectively.
Marcus Carroll rushed for 41 yards for Georgia State, while Darren Grainger added 25 yards. Darren Grainger threw for 176 yards for the Panthers, while receivers Jamari Thrash and Ja'Cyais Credle had 136 and 21 yards respectively.
James Madison outgained Georgia State 425-257 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 22-9 by the Dukes.
Georgia State lost the time of possession battle 35:16-24:44, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, James Madison takes its act home to face Coastal Carolina looking for another win. For Georgia State, they head on the road to face Marshall.
