Recap - Bulldogs Defeat FIU 22-17
Hank Bachmeier led the way with 333 passing yards on Saturday as the Bulldogs picked up a 22-17 victory over the Panthers at Joe Aillet Stadium.
The Bulldogs earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -12.0-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 58.0 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Hank Bachmeier completed 34 of 44 pass attempts for 333 yards for the Bulldogs in the win.
Shomari Lawrence rushed for 139 yards for FIU, while Antonio Patterson added 17 yards. Grayson James threw for 4 yards for the Panthers, while receivers Josiah Miamen and Kris Mitchell had 4 and 2 yards respectively.
FIU lost the offensive yardage battle to LA Tech 447-182 yards in Saturday's game. LA Tech had more first downs as that total ended up 28-8.
LA Tech led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 38:18-21:42 split in that important category.
LA Tech heads into a Week 1 battle against SMU. FIU, meanwhile, will have their next action against Maine.
