WKU Defeats USF 41-24 - Recap
Austin Reed threw for 336 yards to lead the Hilltoppers over USF 41-24 on Saturday in Week 1 action at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.
WKU won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -13.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 71.0.

Byrum Brown rushed for 160 yards for USF, while Nay'Quan Wright added 111 yards. Byrum Brown threw for 166 yards for the Bulls, while receivers Khafre Brown and Sean Atkins had 95 and 43 yards respectively.
WKU lost the offensive yardage battle to USF 540-465 yards in Saturday's game. USF had more first downs as that total ended up 26-22.
The time of possession battle favored USF as their offense was on the field for 30:29, longer than the 29:31 of their opponents.
WKU looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Houston Baptist. USF will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Florida A&M.
