Bobcats Fall 20-13 Against UTSA - Game Recap

Kevorian Barnes scampered through the Texas State defense for 103 yards as UTSA handed the Bobcats a 20-13 defeat on Saturday at Alamodome.

Kevorian Barnes rushed for 103 yards, while Robert Henry added 34 yards in the win. Tykee Ogle-Kellogg and Joshua Cephus added 78 and 38 receiving yards respectively.

Ismail Mahdi rushed for 23 yards for Texas State, while Calvin Hill added 17 yards. TJ Finley threw for 211 yards for the Bobcats, while receivers Drew Donley and Kole Wilson had 79 and 69 yards respectively.

Texas State lost the offensive yardage battle to UTSA 372-242 yards in Saturday's game. UTSA had more first downs as that total ended up 28-13.

Texas State lost the time of possession battle 37:23-22:37, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

UTSA heads into a Week 3 battle against Army. Texas State, meanwhile, will have their next action against Jackson State.
