Georgia State Defeats Charlotte 41-25 - Recap

Darren Grainger's 466-yard performance through the air was the key in Georgia State's 41-25 win over Charlotte on Saturday at Jerry Richardson Stadium.

Georgia State was a favorite by -4.5 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 52.0.

Darren Grainger completed 27 of 33 pass attempts for 466 yards for the Panthers in the win.

Jalon Jones rushed for 80 yards for Charlotte, while Henry Rutledge added 30 yards. Trexler Ivey threw for 257 yards for the 49ers, while receivers Jack Hestera and Bryce Kennon had 109 and 61 yards respectively.

Charlotte was outgained by Georgia State 568-356 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 23-18 by the Panthers.

Charlotte lost the time of possession battle 31:32-28:28, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Georgia State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Coastal Carolina. Charlotte will aim to get back on the winning track at Florida.
