Recap - Blue Devils Defeat UCONN 41-7
The battle between the Blue Devils and Huskies didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as UCONN was handed a 41-7 defeat on Saturday at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field.
The Blue Devils were a -22.0-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 45.5.
Riley Leonard rushed for 30 yards, while Jordan Waters added 18 yards in the win. Jordan Moore and Jalon Calhoun added 86 and 76 receiving yards respectively.
Victor Rosa rushed for 68 yards for UCONN, while Cam Edwards added 43 yards. Ta'Quan Roberson threw for 114 yards for the Huskies, while receivers Brett Buckman and Justin Joly had 31 and 26 yards respectively.
UCONN was outgained by Duke 322-203 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 20-14 by the Blue Devils.
UCONN led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 30:10-29:50 split in that important category.
Duke looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Notre Dame. UCONN will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Utah State.
