Owls Fall 42-29 Against USF - Game Recap

Byrum Brown was good for 435 yards through the air on Saturday as the Bulls got past the Owls by a score of 42-29 at Raymond James Stadium.

USF won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +3.0-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 57.0.

Byrum Brown completed 22 of 29 pass attempts for 435 yards for the Bulls in the win.

Juma Otoviano rushed for 12 yards for Rice, while AJ Padgett added 10 yards. JT Daniels threw for 432 yards for the Owls, while receivers Luke McCaffrey and Dean Connors had 199 and 98 yards respectively.

USF outgained Rice 597-492 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 25-19 by the Bulls.

Rice led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 32:27-27:33 split in that important category.

Next game, USF takes its act on the road to face Navy looking for another win. For Rice, they head home to face East Carolina.
