Owls Fall 36-10 Against UTSA - Game Recap
The battle between the Roadrunners and Owls didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Florida Atlantic was handed a 36-10 defeat on Saturday at FAU Stadium.
UTSA won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -2.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 58.5.
Kevorian Barnes rushed for 56 yards, while Rocko Griffin added 53 yards in the win. Devin McCuin and Joshua Cephus added 64 and 57 receiving yards respectively.
Larry McCammon III rushed for 30 yards for Florida Atlantic, while Keyvon Walker added 15 yards. Daniel Richardson threw for 142 yards for the Owls, while receivers Je'Quan Burton and Larry McCammon III had 68 and 33 yards respectively.
Florida Atlantic lost the offensive yardage battle to UTSA 437-162 yards in Saturday's game. UTSA had more first downs as that total ended up 27-12.
The time of possession battle favored UTSA as their offense was on the field for 35:33, longer than the 24:27 of their opponents.
Next game, UTSA takes its act home to face East Carolina looking for another win. For Florida Atlantic, they head on the road to face Charlotte.
