Memphis Defeats USF 59-50 - Recap
Seth Henigan led the way with 349 passing yards on Saturday as the Tigers picked up a 59-50 victory over the Bulls at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.
The Tigers earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -12.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 68.0 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Seth Henigan completed 23 of 40 pass attempts for 349 yards for the Tigers in the win.
Byrum Brown rushed for 100 yards for USF, while Michel Dukes added 40 yards. Byrum Brown threw for 357 yards for the Bulls, while receivers Sean Atkins and Michael Brown-Stephens had 89 and 73 yards respectively.
USF outgained Memphis 583-580 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 28-26 by the Bulls.
Memphis lost the time of possession battle 31:10-28:44, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Memphis takes its act on the road to face Charlotte looking for another win. For USF, they head home to face Temple.
