Cyclones vs Cougars Final: 45-13 - Recap
Abu Sama III tore up the turf for 110 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Cyclones to a 45-13 win over the Cougars at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
The Cyclones were a -7.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 41.0.
Abu Sama III rushed for 110 yards, while Eli Sanders added 57 yards in the win. Jaylin Noel and Jayden Higgins added 98 and 42 receiving yards respectively.
Jake Retzlaff rushed for 64 yards for BYU, while Aidan Robbins added 58 yards. Jake Retzlaff threw for 104 yards for the Cougars, while receivers Isaac Rex and Kody Epps had 52 and 35 yards respectively.
BYU lost the offensive yardage battle to Iowa State 443-318 yards in Saturday's game. Iowa State had more first downs as that total ended up 21-18.
The time of possession battle favored Iowa State as their offense was on the field for 33:01, longer than the 26:59 of their opponents.
Next game, Iowa State takes its act home to face Texas looking for another win. For BYU, they head home to face Oklahoma.
