Sooners Down BYU 31-24 - Match Report

Gavin Sawchuk ran for 107 yards as Oklahoma handled BYU by a score of 31-24 on Saturday at LaVell Edwards Stadium.

The Sooners won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -24.5-point spread. UNDER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an UNDER play.

Gavin Sawchuk rushed for 107 yards, while Tawee Walker added 25 yards in the win. Jayden Gibson and Drake Stoops added 82 and 63 receiving yards respectively.

Aidan Robbins rushed for 182 yards for BYU, while Jake Retzlaff added 29 yards. Jake Retzlaff threw for 173 yards for the Cougars, while receivers Kody Epps and Chase Roberts had 90 and 45 yards respectively.

Oklahoma lost the offensive yardage battle to BYU 390-368 yards in Saturday's game. Oklahoma had more first downs as that total ended up 20-18.

The time of possession battle favored BYU as their offense was on the field for 31:10, longer than the 28:50 of their opponents.

Oklahoma heads into a 13 battle against TCU. BYU, meanwhile, will have their next action against Oklahoma State.
