Tampa Bay Defeats Miami 16-14 - Recap
The Buccaneers were Pre-Season Week 2 winners on Friday, coming out on top of the Dolphins by a score of 16-14 at Raymond James Stadium.
Tampa Bay did not, however, defeat the Dolphins against the spread, which closed at -3.0 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 41.5.
Dare Ogunbowale rushed for 34 yards, while Andre Ellington added 15 yards in the win. Tanner Hudson and Dare Ogunbowale added 93 and 54 receiving yards respectively.
Patrick Laird rushed for 51 yards for Miami, while Kenneth Farrow added 41 yards. Jake Rudock threw for 72 yards for the Dolphins, while receivers Saeed Blacknall and Durham Smythe had 25 and 22 yards respectively.
Miami lost the time of possession battle 32:03-27:57, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Tampa Bay heads into a Pre-Season Week 3 battle against the Browns. Miami, meanwhile, will have their next action against Jacksonville.
