Vikings vs Lions Final: 28-24 - Recap

The Vikings got a 2-TD performance from Kirk Cousins as Minnesota handed Detroit a 28-24 defeat on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Minnesota won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -6.5-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 51.5.

Kirk Cousins completed 24 of 41 pass attempts for 260 yards and 2 TDs for the Vikings in the win.

Jamaal Williams rushed for 87 yards for Detroit, while D'Andre Swift added 31 yards. Jared Goff threw for 277 yards for the Lions, while receivers Josh Reynolds and Amon-Ra St. Brown had 96 and 73 yards respectively.

Minnesota lost the offensive yardage battle to Detroit 416-373 yards in Sunday's game. Minnesota had more first downs as that total ended up 30-23.

The time of possession battle favored Detroit as their offense was on the field for 34:04, longer than the 25:56 of their opponents.

Minnesota looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Saints. The Lions will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Seattle.
