Winnipeg Falls 6-3 to Hurricanes - Recap

Jordan Staal scored a pair of goals against the Jets as Carolina handed Winnipeg a 6-3 defeat on Tuesday at Bell MTS Place.

Carolina won as a -111 favorite, while Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 6.0 were rewarded at the payout window.

Jordan Staal(2), Sebastian Aho(2), Lucas Wallmark, and Andrei Svechnikov each scored for the Hurricanes in the victory. Wallmark opened the scoring for Carolina.

Petr Mrazek turned in a 30-save effort for the Hurricanes.

Winnipeg got goals from Jack Roslovic, Patrik Laine, and Mark Scheifele in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Connor Hellebuyck stopped 18 of 23 shots for the Jets, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Carolina went 2-for-2, while the Jets were 1-for-2 with the man advantage.

Carolina lost the shots on goal battle to Winnipeg by a margin of 33-28.

Carolina looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Avalanche. The Jets will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Chicago.
