Calgary Ices Los Angeles 3-2 - Recap

The Flames earned a 3-2 victory over Los Angeles on Thursday behind a 40-save performance from Jacob Markstrom at Staples Center.

Calgary won as a -150 favorite, while Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 5.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Milan Lucic, Andrew Mangiapane, and Matthew Tkachuk each scored for the Flames in the victory. Mangiapane opened the scoring for Calgary.

Jacob Markstrom stopped 40 of 42 Los Angeles shots in the victory.

Alexander Edler, and Alex Iafallo scored for the Kings, finding the net behind Jacob Markstrom.

Calvin Petersen stopped 29 of 32 shots for the Kings, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Calgary went 2-for-4, while the Kings were 0-for-2 with the man advantage.

Calgary lost the shots on goal battle to Los Angeles by a margin of 42-32.

Next game, Calgary takes its act on the road to face Anaheim looking for another win. For Los Angeles, they head on the road to face Edmonton.
