The battle between Norfolk State and Coppin State didnt turn out to be much of a battle at all as Coppin State was handed a 82-59 defeat on Monday at Physical Education Complex.
Norfolk State got 21 points from Jermaine Bishop and another 17 points from Joe Bryant Jr.. Joe Bryant Jr. contributed 4 assists, while Spirit Ricks cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
Coppin State got 18 points from Andrew Robinson in a losing cause and another 12 points from Dejuan Clayton. Dejuan Clayton contributed 4 assists for them, while Koby Thomas had 7 rebounds.
Norfolk State was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Norfolk State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 39-25.
