Richmond got 18 points from Nick Sherod en route to a 70-64 victory over Davidson on Tuesday at Belk Arena.
Richmond won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +5.0-point spread as underdogs.
Richmond got 16 points from Jacob Gilyard and another 10 points from Nathan Cayo. Jacob Gilyard contributed 5 assists, while Nathan Cayo cleaned the glass with 6 rebounds.
Davidson got 19 points from Kellan Grady in a losing cause and another 14 points from Jon Axel Gudmundsson. Jon Axel Gudmundsson contributed 6 assists for them, while Jon Axel Gudmundsson had 16 rebounds.
Richmond led at halftime, 35-28.
Davidson had a 36-28 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Richmond looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the George Mason. Davidson will aim to get back on the winning track at Fordham.
