Marquette Defeats DePaul 76-72 - Recap
DePaul was burned for 31 points by Markus Howard on Saturday as Marquette picked up a 76-72 win at Fiserv Forum.
Marquette earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -7.0-point spread.
Marquette got 13 points from Koby McEwen and another 11 points from Jayce Johnson. Markus Howard contributed 4 assists, while Koby McEwen cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
DePaul got 21 points from Charlie Moore in a losing cause and another 14 points from Jaylen Butz. Charlie Moore contributed 8 assists for them, while Paul Reed had 7 rebounds.
Marquette was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Marquette had a 32-29 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Marquette looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Butler. DePaul will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Xavier.
