Purdue Downs Northwestern 61-58 - Match Report
Purdue grabbed a 61-58 win over Northwestern on Saturday, behind a 13-point effort from Trevion Williams at Welsh-Ryan Arena.
Purdue won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -5.0-point spread.
Purdue got 13 points from Eric Hunter Jr. and another 11 points from Isaiah Thompson. Nojel Eastern contributed 4 assists, while Trevion Williams cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.
Northwestern got 15 points from Miller Kopp in a losing cause and another 12 points from Boo Buie. Boo Buie contributed 4 assists for them, while Pat Spencer had 7 rebounds.
Purdue was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Northwestern won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 29-27.
