Recap - Wofford Defeats VMI 79-73
Wofford got a 27-point performance from Chevez Goodwin as they ran past VMI 79-73 on Wednesday at Cameron Hall.
Wofford did not, however, defeat VMI against the spread, which closed at -7.0 at most sportsbooks.
Nathan Hoover had 18 points for Wofford and Trevor Stumpe chipped in with 9 points. Storm Murphy had 5 assists for them, while Chevez Goodwin was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 9 boards.
VMI got 28 points from Garrett Gilkeson in a losing cause and another 11 points from Jake Stephens. Greg Parham contributed 5 assists for them, while Garrett Gilkeson had 9 rebounds.
First-half bettors who backed Wofford were victorious, as the score was 40-31 at the break.
Wofford won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 36-32.
