Recap - Dayton Defeats UMass 71-63
Dayton grabbed a 71-63 win over UMass on Saturday, behind a 19-point effort from Obi Toppin at William D. Mullins Center.
Dayton earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -13.0-point spread.
Jalen Crutcher had 17 points for Dayton and Ryan Mikesell chipped in with 9 points. Jalen Crutcher had 5 assists for them, while Obi Toppin was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 7 boards.
UMass got a 26-point performance from Tre Mitchell, who was supported by 10 points from Samba Diallo. Kollin Mitchell had 6 assists in a losing cause for UMass, while Tre Mitchell grabbed 10 rebounds.
Dayton was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
