Fordham Rams vs UMass Minutemen Recap - UMass Wins 60-54
UMass grabbed a 60-54 win over Fordham on Wednesday, behind a 14-point effort from Javohn Garcia at William D. Mullins Center.
UMass earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -9.0-point spread.
UMass got 13 points from T.J. Weeks Jr. and another 10 points from Carl Pierre. Javohn Garcia contributed 5 assists, while T.J. Weeks Jr. cleaned the glass with 12 rebounds.
Fordham got 17 points from Josh Navarro in a losing cause and another 12 points from Joel Soriano. Jalen Cobb contributed 5 assists for them, while Joel Soriano had 13 rebounds.
UMass was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
UMass won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 33-32.
UMass looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Rhode Island. Fordham will aim to get back on the winning track vs. La Salle.
