Appalachian State Defeats North Carolina Wesleyan 81-57 - Recap

Appalachian State cruised to victory on Sunday, running North Carolina Wesleyan out of the gym and running up a 81-57 score at Holmes Convocation Center.

Appalachian State got 18 points from CJ Huntley and another 17 points from Kendall Lewis. Justin Forrest contributed 5 assists, while Michael Almonacy cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.

North Carolina Wesleyan got 21 points from Isaiah Lewis in a losing cause and another 11 points from Damon McDowell. Isaiah Lewis contributed 2 assists for them, while Sal-Bey Young had 7 rebounds.

Appalachian State was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Appalachian State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 33-28.

Next game, Appalachian State takes its act on the road to face Charlotte looking for another win. For North Carolina Wesleyan, they head on the road to face UNC Greensboro.
