Winthrop Falls 77-63 to Vanderbilt - Recap
Winthrop was burned for 28 points by Jordan Wright on Saturday as Vanderbilt picked up a 77-63 win at Memorial Gym.
Tyrin Lawrence had 20 points for Vanderbilt and Scotty Pippen Jr. chipped in with 13 points. Trey Thomas had 3 assists for them, while Quentin Millora-Brown was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 6 boards.
Winthrop got 15 points from Cory Hightower in a losing cause and another 13 points from Patrick Good. Drew Buggs contributed 3 assists for them, while Kelton Talford had 5 rebounds.
Vanderbilt was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
