The battle between Tennessee and Presbyterian didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Presbyterian was handed a 86-44 defeat on Tuesday at Thompson-Boling Arena.
Tennessee got 15 points from Justin Powell and another 15 points from Kennedy Chandler. Kennedy Chandler contributed 7 assists, while John Fulkerson cleaned the glass with 5 rebounds.
Presbyterian got a 9-point performance from Winston Hill, who was supported by 9 points from Kobe Stewart. Trevon Reddish had 3 assists in a losing cause for Presbyterian, while Winston Hill grabbed 7 rebounds.
Tennessee was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Presbyterian won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 26-25.
Next game, Tennessee takes its act on the road to face Colorado looking for another win. For Presbyterian, they head home to face Bob Jones University.
