Furman grabbed a 74-70 win over High Point on Tuesday, behind a 18-point effort from Alex Hunter at Qubein Center.
Furman got 15 points from Marcus Foster and another 12 points from Jalen Slawson. Jalen Slawson contributed 4 assists, while Jalen Slawson cleaned the glass with 14 rebounds.
High Point got a 26-point performance from John-Michael Wright, who was supported by 14 points from Zach Austin. John-Michael Wright had 5 assists in a losing cause for High Point, while Rob Peterson III grabbed 8 rebounds.
Furman won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 51-39.
Furman looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the College of Charleston. High Point will aim to get back on the winning track at Elon.
