Recap - Monmouth Defeats Colgate 77-66
George Papas poured in 30 points for Monmouth on Sunday, as they defeated Colgate 77-66 at OceanFirst Bank Center.
Monmouth got 15 points from Walker Miller and another 9 points from Shavar Reynolds Jr.. Shavar Reynolds Jr. contributed 9 assists, while Walker Miller cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
Colgate got 17 points from Tucker Richardson in a losing cause and another 11 points from Jack Ferguson. Jack Ferguson contributed 4 assists for them, while Keegan Records had 14 rebounds.
Monmouth was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Colgate had a 34-28 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Monmouth takes its act home to face Hofstra looking for another win. For Colgate, they head on the road to face Vermont.
