Ecclesia Royals vs McNeese State Cowboys Recap - McNeese State Wins 115-66
The battle between McNeese State and Ecclesia didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Ecclesia was handed a 115-66 defeat on Thursday at Burton Coliseum.
McNeese State got 21 points from Myles Lewis and another 21 points from Christian Shumate. Harwin Francois contributed 7 assists, while Kellon Taylor cleaned the glass with 13 rebounds.
Ecclesia got a 22-point performance from Matthew Claudio, who was supported by 16 points from Jaquan Dotson. Zachary McGee had 3 assists in a losing cause for Ecclesia, while Jaquan Dotson grabbed 11 rebounds.
McNeese State was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
McNeese State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 53-29.
Next game, McNeese State takes its act home to face New Orleans looking for another win. For Ecclesia, they head on the road to face Houston Baptist.
