Recap - Furman Defeats The Citadel 94-59
The battle between Furman and The Citadel didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as The Citadel was handed a 94-59 defeat on Saturday at McAlister Field House.
Furman won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -9.0-point spread as favorites.
Furman got 20 points from Alex Hunter and another 17 points from Mike Bothwell. Alex Hunter contributed 6 assists, while Tyrese Hughey cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.
The Citadel got a 17-point performance from Hayden Brown, who was supported by 11 points from Tyler Moffe. Tyler Moffe had 5 assists in a losing cause for The Citadel, while Hayden Brown grabbed 18 rebounds.
Furman led at halftime, 41-30.
