Nicholls State earned a 68-64 victory over Houston Baptist on Saturday, getting 23 points from Caleb Huffman at David R. Stopher Gym.
Nicholls State got 18 points from Latrell Jones and another 11 points from Edoardo Del Cadia. Lance-Amir Paul contributed 5 assists, while Latrell Jones cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
Houston Baptist got a 25-point performance from Maks Klanjscek, who was supported by 13 points from Brycen Long. Brycen Long had 4 assists in a losing cause for Houston Baptist, while Sam Hofman grabbed 14 rebounds.
