VCU got 15 points from Brandon Johns Jr. en route to a 69-54 victory over Morgan State on Saturday at Stuart Siegel Center.
David Shriver had 11 points for VCU and Jamir Watkins chipped in with 10 points. Adrian Baldwin Jr. had 5 assists for them, while Jamir Watkins was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 9 boards.
Morgan State got 12 points from Isaiah Burke in a losing cause and another 11 points from Khalil Turner. Malik Miller contributed 5 assists for them, while Malik Miller had 11 rebounds.
VCU was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
VCU won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 34-32.
VCU looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Arizona State. Morgan State will aim to get back on the winning track at Akron.
