VCU got 18 points from Brandon Johns Jr. en route to a 70-62 victory over Radford on Wednesday at Stuart Siegel Center.
VCU got 15 points from Jalen DeLoach and another 10 points from Adrian Baldwin Jr.. Adrian Baldwin Jr. contributed 6 assists, while Jamir Watkins cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
Radford got 13 points from Kenyon Giles in a losing cause and another 11 points from DaQuan Smith. DaQuan Smith contributed 3 assists for them, while Justin Archer had 6 rebounds.
VCU trailed at halftime, 28-27.
VCU had a 34-25 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, VCU takes its act home to face Northern Illinois looking for another win. For Radford, they head on the road to face Eastern Kentucky.
