Jackson State Falls 102-52 to Texas Tech - Recap
The battle between Texas Tech and Jackson State didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Jackson State was handed a 102-52 defeat on Saturday at Delmar Fieldhouse.
D'Maurian Williams had 17 points for Texas Tech and Kevin Obanor chipped in with 16 points. Kevin Obanor had 2 assists for them, while KJ Allen was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 7 boards.
Jackson State got 12 points from Keionte Cornelius in a losing cause and another 10 points from Jamarcus Jones. Chase Adams contributed 3 assists for them, while Trace Young had 5 rebounds.
Texas Tech was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Texas Tech had a 28-25 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Next game, Texas Tech takes its act home to face Houston Baptist looking for another win. For Jackson State, they head on the road to face Alabama.
