Laurynas Vaistaras scored 13 points leading Campbell to a 63-58 victory over Gardner-Webb at John W. Pope Jr. Convocation Center on Wednesday.
Campbell got 9 points from Joshua Lusane and another 8 points from Anthony Dell'Orso. Ricky Clemons contributed 6 assists, while Ricky Clemons cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
Gardner-Webb got a 20-point performance from Quest Aldridge, who was supported by 13 points from Anthony Selden. DQ Nicholas had 4 assists in a losing cause for Gardner-Webb, while Caleb Robinson grabbed 6 rebounds.
Campbell was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Campbell had a 34-28 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
