UTEP Downs Charlotte 60-58 - Match Report
Tae Hardy scored 19 points leading UTEP to a 60-58 victory over Charlotte at Dale F. Halton Arena on Monday.
UTEP won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +7.5-point spread as underdogs.
UTEP got 10 points from Calvin Solomon and another 10 points from Jon Dos Anjos. Shamar Givance contributed 3 assists, while Mario McKinney Jr. cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.
Charlotte got a 11-point performance from Jackson Threadgill, who was supported by 9 points from Aly Khalifa. Lu'Cye Patterson had 7 assists in a losing cause for Charlotte, while Aly Khalifa grabbed 9 rebounds.
UTEP was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Charlotte won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 28-23.
Next game, UTEP takes its act home to face Florida International looking for another win. For Charlotte, they head on the road to face Middle Tennessee.
