UTEP got 18 points from Tae Hardy in a losing cause and another 16 points from Shamar Givance. Calvin Solomon contributed 4 assists for them, while Otis Frazier III had 6 rebounds.
North Texas had a 27-23 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
