San Jose State Falls 75-74 to Utah State - Recap

Utah State grabbed a 75-74 win over San Jose State on Saturday, behind a 19-point effort from Steven Ashworth at Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.

Utah State won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -11.5-point spread.

Utah State got 15 points from Max Shulga and another 13 points from Dan Akin. Sean Bairstow contributed 6 assists, while Dan Akin cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.

San Jose State got a 20-point performance from Tibet Gorener, who was supported by 17 points from Alvaro Cardenas. Omari Moore had 8 assists in a losing cause for San Jose State, while Sage Tolbert III grabbed 8 rebounds.

Utah State trailed at halftime, 37-31.

San Jose State had a 30-25 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.

Utah State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the San Diego State. San Jose State will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Air Force.
