Minnesota Falls 61-39 Against Purdue - Game Recap
The battle between Purdue and Minnesota didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Minnesota was handed a 61-39 defeat on Thursday at Williams Arena.
Purdue was the ATS victor, as they covered the -13.0-point spread as a favorite.
Purdue got 19 points from Braden Smith and another 12 points from Zach Edey. Braden Smith contributed 7 assists, while Caleb Furst cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
Minnesota got a 13-point performance from Joshua Ola-Joseph, who was supported by 7 points from Dawson Garcia. Pharrel Payne had 2 assists in a losing cause for Minnesota, while Taurus Samuels grabbed 6 rebounds.
Purdue led at halftime, 31-13.
Purdue won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 38-26.
Next game, Purdue takes its act home to face Maryland looking for another win. For Minnesota, they head on the road to face Michigan.
