Davidson Falls 89-72 to VCU - Recap

Adrian Baldwin Jr. scored 19 points leading VCU to a 89-72 victory over Davidson at Stuart Siegel Center on Saturday.

VCU was a -5.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters.

David Shriver had 18 points for VCU and Brandon Johns Jr. chipped in with 14 points. Adrian Baldwin Jr. had 8 assists for them, while Brandon Johns Jr. was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 4 boards.

Davidson got a 20-point performance from Sam Mennenga, who was supported by 19 points from Desmond Watson. Foster Loyer had 3 assists in a losing cause for Davidson, while Reed Bailey grabbed 9 rebounds.

VCU was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

Davidson won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 28-21.

VCU heads into a battle against Loyola-Chicago. Davidson, meanwhile, will have their next action against Richmond.
