LSU cruised to victory on Thursday, running New Orleans out of the gym and running up a 91-62 score at Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
LSU got 15 points from Derek Fountain and another 13 points from Cam Hayes. Justice Hill contributed 5 assists, while Derek Fountain cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.
New Orleans got a 21-point performance from Khaleb Wilson-Rouse, who was supported by 14 points from Tyson Jackson. Preston Murphy Jr. had 3 assists in a losing cause for New Orleans, while Khaleb Wilson-Rouse grabbed 8 rebounds.
LSU was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
LSU won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 33-25.
Next game, LSU takes its act home to face Illinois State looking for another win. For New Orleans, they head home to face The Citadel.
