North Carolina Central Defeats Coppin State 85-52 - Recap
The battle between North Carolina Central and Coppin State didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Coppin State was handed a 85-52 defeat on Monday at McDougald-McLendon Gymnasium.
North Carolina Central got 25 points from Kris Monroe and another 18 points from Marque Maultsby. Eric Boone contributed 6 assists, while Kris Monroe cleaned the glass with 16 rebounds.
Coppin State got 18 points from Sam Sessoms in a losing cause and another 8 points from Mike Hood. Luka Tekavcic contributed 3 assists for them, while Luka Tekavcic had 6 rebounds.
North Carolina Central was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
North Carolina Central won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 42-20.
Next game, North Carolina Central takes its act on the road to face Delaware State looking for another win. For Coppin State, they head home to face Howard.
