Northern Illinois Falls 92-70 to Marquette - Recap
Marquette blew out Northern Illinois on Monday, running up the score in a 92-70 win at Fiserv Forum.
Marquette did not, however, defeat Northern Illinois against the spread, which closed at -25.0 at most sportsbooks.
Marquette got 20 points from Kam Jones and another 14 points from Tyler Kolek. Tyler Kolek contributed 4 assists, while Oso Ighodaro cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.
Northern Illinois got a 14-point performance from David Coit, who was supported by 11 points from Philmon Gebrewhit. Xavier Amos had 3 assists in a losing cause for Northern Illinois, while Yanic Konan Niederhauser grabbed 11 rebounds.
Marquette was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Northern Illinois had a 38-37 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
