Recap - New Mexico Defeats Rice 90-56

The battle between New Mexico and Rice didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Rice was handed a 90-56 defeat on Wednesday at Dollar Loan Center.

New Mexico was the ATS victor, as they covered the -7.5-point spread as a favorite.

Donovan Dent had 18 points for New Mexico and Tru Washington chipped in with 14 points. Donovan Dent had 11 assists for them, while Nelly Junior Joseph was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 7 boards.

Rice got a 17-point performance from Mekhi Mason, who was supported by 15 points from Travis Evee. Max Fiedler had 3 assists in a losing cause for Rice, while Max Fiedler grabbed 7 rebounds.

New Mexico was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

New Mexico won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 40-28.

New Mexico looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Pepperdine. Rice will aim to get back on the winning track at UC Irvine.
