The battle between Nebraska and Oregon State didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Oregon State was handed a 84-63 defeat on Saturday at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Nebraska won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -8.0-point spread as favorites.
Nebraska got 25 points from Brice Williams and another 15 points from Rienk Mast. Jamarques Lawrence contributed 3 assists, while Rienk Mast cleaned the glass with 13 rebounds.
Oregon State got 25 points from Jordan Pope in a losing cause and another 15 points from Tyler Bilodeau. Jordan Pope contributed 3 assists for them, while Tyler Bilodeau had 7 rebounds.
Nebraska was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
Nebraska won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 41-29.
Next game, Nebraska takes its act home to face Duquesne looking for another win. For Oregon State, they head home to face Baylor.
