SMU Falls 77-73 Against UTSA - Game Recap

UTSA got a 33-point performance from Jordan Ivy-Curry as UTSA handed SMU a 77-73 defeat on Saturday at Moody Coliseum.

UTSA won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +17.0-point spread as underdogs.

UTSA got 23 points from PJ Carter and another 13 points from Dre Fuller Jr.. Christian Tucker contributed 9 assists, while Chandler Cuthrell cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.

SMU got a 18-point performance from Zhuric Phelps, who was supported by 15 points from Jalen Smith. Jalen Smith had 3 assists in a losing cause for SMU, while Samuell Williamson grabbed 8 rebounds.

UTSA was losing at the break before taking care of business in the second half.

SMU won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 36-35.

UTSA looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Temple. SMU will aim to get back on the winning track vs. East Carolina.
