UTEP Defeats McMurry 120-71 - Recap
The battle between UTEP and McMurry didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as McMurry was handed a 120-71 defeat on Monday at Don Haskins Center.
Elijah Jones had 19 points for UTEP and Tae Hardy chipped in with 14 points. Tae Hardy had 10 assists for them, while Jon Dos Anjos was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 7 boards.
McMurry got a 24-point performance from CJ LeBlanc, who was supported by 13 points from Matt Pena. Josh Alcocer had 4 assists in a losing cause for McMurry, while TJ Hilliard grabbed 10 rebounds.
UTEP was winning at the break before taking care of business in the second half.
UTEP had a 45-31 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
