Winnipeg Defeats Calgary 31-29 - Recap

Nic Demski caught 8 passes for 117 yards against the Calgary defense as Winnipeg handed the Stampeders a 31-29 loss on Thursday at IG Field.

Winnipeg won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -5.5-point spread. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 48.5.

Brady Oliveira rushed for 60 yards, while Johnny Augustin added 38 yards in the win. Nic Demski and Greg McCrae added 117 and 95 receiving yards respectively.

Ka'Deem Carey rushed for 62 yards for Calgary, while Peyton Logan added 51 yards. Jake Maier threw for 294 yards for the Stampeders, while receivers Malik Henry and Reggie Begelton had 122 and 68 yards respectively.

Calgary was outgained by Winnipeg 475-409 yards in Thursday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 29-26 by the Blue Bombers.

The time of possession battle favored Calgary as their offense was on the field for 30:37, longer than the 29:23 of their opponents.

Winnipeg heads into a Week 13 battle against the Roughriders. Calgary, meanwhile, will have their next action against Edmonton.
