Blue Bombers Fall 40-32 Against British Columbia - Game Recap

James Butler tore up the turf for 104 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Lions to a 40-32 win over the Blue Bombers at BC Place Stadium.

British Columbia won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -5.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 48.5.

James Butler rushed for 104 yards, while Vernon Adams Jr. added 18 yards in the win. Dominique Rhymes and Jevon Cottoy added 43 and 43 receiving yards respectively.

Greg McCrae rushed for 21 yards for Winnipeg, while Johnny Augustin added 17 yards. Dru Brown threw for 325 yards for the Blue Bombers, while receivers Rasheed Bailey and Dalton Schoen had 121 and 82 yards respectively.

British Columbia was outgained by Winnipeg 399-266 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 25-17 by the Blue Bombers.

British Columbia lost the time of possession battle 34:46-25:14, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
