Ottawa Defeats Edmonton 26-7 - Recap

De'Montre Tuggle scampered through the Edmonton defense for 126 yards as Ottawa handed the Elks a 26-7 defeat on Friday at TD Place Stadium.

Ottawa won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -2.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 41.5.

De'Montre Tuggle rushed for 126 yards, while Jackson Bennett added 44 yards in the win. Marco Dubois and Jaelon Acklin added 58 and 49 receiving yards respectively.

Kevin Brown rushed for 28 yards for Edmonton, while Shannon Brooks added 13 yards. Jarret Doege threw for 223 yards for the Elks, while receivers Maurice Ffrench and Steven Dunbar Jr. had 74 and 45 yards respectively.

Edmonton lost the offensive yardage battle to Ottawa 393-273 yards in Friday's game. Ottawa had more first downs as that total ended up 18-15.

Ottawa led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 29:42-27:25 split in that important category.

Next game, Ottawa takes its act on the road to face Hamilton looking for another win. For Edmonton, they head on the road to face Saskatchewan.
