Hilltoppers Fall 10-6 Against Florida Atlantic - Game Recap
The Owls grabbed a Week 10 victory over the Hilltoppers on Saturday, winning 10-6 at FAU Stadium.
The Owls earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -6.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 37.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Javion Posey rushed for 60 yards, while BJ Emmons added 56 yards in the win. TJ Chase and Jordan Merrell added 47 and 35 receiving yards respectively.
Gaej Walker rushed for 78 yards for WKU, while Jakairi Moses added 18 yards. Tyrrell Pigrome threw for 163 yards for the Hilltoppers, while receivers Xavier Lane and Mitchell Tinsley had 60 and 43 yards respectively.
WKU was outgained by Florida Atlantic 273-257 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 18-16 by the Owls.
The time of possession battle favored WKU as their offense was on the field for 33:49, longer than the 26:11 of their opponents.
Next game, Florida Atlantic takes its act on the road to face FIU looking for another win. For WKU, they head home to face Southern Miss.
